Erotic Ambiguities, my work

We live in a society full of nudity and sexuality which both became as usual as products that we sell. My aim is to give back its poetry and its sensuality to nudity.

Let’s imagine yourself in a cocoon, with someone naked in front of you. Rays of light cross this cocoon, which are reflected on elements and create shadows through other subjects. Let’s admire the new dimension given to bodies, this sensualism, this poetry that makes you feel desire. Nudity and sex have became a work of art that makes you see them differently.

Universe was created from the nothingness, everything was dark, then appeared the light. In my photos, I work with darkness to illuminate elements (often body's parts), create shadows and reveal lines of the body. The question is : ''what I want to see and how I want to see it''.

In my work, I want to respect the world's imperfection and do poetry with real image and not with fiction.

The image is fixed when I take the photo, I take it with its defects and its qualities because most of the time defects are sublimating the image.
News technologies make photography sound fake, because it does not suit with the scene that the photographer had before his eyes. And that’s what I want to avoid. I don’t want to disappoint the onlooker.

When I was young, sex was a taboo, considered as ''dirty'' and that‘s why I felt interest for this theme. I don’t want it to be dirty, I want it to be glorified.

I think that sex should be considered and appreciated on a different way. It has a certain poetry that tells stories and sublimates reality. ''Playing'' with sex has became an important part of my work. I change its perception through shadows, reflections, various angles. I am the stage director, the naked body is the actor.

What was considered as ''dirty'' during my childhood is now beautiful. There is no taboo anymore, even if it shocks, there are part of a work of art. I try to imagine a stage and give poetry to female nudity in order to discourage the ''porn-addict'' voyeur.

Death is also something that really influenced my work. Until I was 20, I had a sick fear of death. After my grandmother’s death everything began to be different. I had interest for death, I was questioning myself on its esthetic representation. So I began to work with these representations, I wanted to bring beauty and sex face to face with death.

I could say that my work is between ''subjective photography'', ''expressionism'' and ''vanity''.

With the will to show a real image, as my eyes can see it, the final image seems altered, blurred and distorted by the special effects I use. My work is often the image of a stage such as a still-life work of art.
People can find so many ways to communicate. I choose photography. I want my photos to tell a story and also to represent a part of myself through my fears, my joys and my questionings.

Let’s get into my universe and create your own story through my work.

  • I really like some of your images. Very sexual and almost tactile. Glistening and surreal. Lovely. Would like to see what kind of explicit stuff you do outside the boundaries of MS. :)
