about Juan Ude

Hi! my name is Juan Ude.

I grew up on a small island surrounded by the sea. I went back to Madrid to rediscover the world and myself, but instead I found love. For it I crossed an ocean, lived in two continents and walked over four.

I overcame a medieval illness that made me better, stronger, and faster.

I started my career by obtaining an associate’s degree as an advanced image technician and later completed a five-year BA program at Complutense University in Madrid. This has allowed me to acquire an ample visual culture, spanning the spectrum of the visual arts. This has informed my commercial work as well as my independent work as an artistic photographer, for which I have received several grants and awards.

I have worked as a freelance photographer, retoucher and photography assistant for a large number of companies and photo studios in Spain and NY for the last 10 years.

Given the variety of people and companies that have hired me, I can say that I am capable of determining a client´s needs and requirements, adapting quickly to different image styles, and providing the highest quality of work at all times.

I am a detail-oriented person who knows how to work in a team, can perform under pressure and is used to strenuous work sessions. I am also enthusiastic and creative. I love the world of photography and the arts in general and to be able to make people happy with a job well done.
